Greg was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2016.

High School Honors

• 5 letters: track and football
• 4 time state gold medalist for the 100 yard dash in 1975 and 1976; 880 yard relay in 1974 and 1976
  
  

 Post High School

• Attended the University of Nebraska
• Worked with Fellowship of Athletes in Omaha
• Worked at Union Pacific and Ameritrade before moving to Florida
• Upon returning to Omaha attended Bible School in London
• Currently working with those who are mentally and physically disabled
