JOSEPH "BUDDY" YAMBOR

​Inducted in 2000

Buddy was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2000.

Buddy lettered in baseball, football, and basketball for 3 years, including while on the intercity team. He played American Legion Baseball from 1945-1947 and was on the All-American team in 1947.

Buddy played in Chicago Cubs organization before entering the Army during the Korean War.

​After his time in the Army, he went to Omaha University and played basketball and baseball.  He was named Outstanding Fast Pitch Softball Player for many years.
