DANIEL VERMILLION

Class of 1948
​Inducted in 2011

Daniel was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2011.

Daniel lettered in wrestling for four years and won City and State championships three years.  During his four-year Air Force assignment, he was chosen to attend Kodokan Institute for judo and advanced combative training in Japan by experts.  

When he returned to the United States, he became a combat flight crew instructor at the SAC base in Rapid City, South Dakota serving under General Curtis LeMay.  

Dan has barbered for 45 years and owns a barber shop, two beauty salons, and a tavern.
