Bob was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2010.

Bob earned seven letters at SHS - three in wrestling and four in track.  He was a two-time State wrestling champion and SHS Invitational champion; a North High Invitational champion and was named to the KMTV Regional Wrestling team.  Bob was selected as co-captain of the 1960 wrestling team and was elected Homecoming King.  He was also active in Student Council, “O” Club, Spanish Club and Big Brothers, as well as being on the honor roll. 

Bob attended UNL for two years and UNO for two years after graduation, while wrestling for both schools. 

​Bob is a Vietnam veteran and served in the U.S. Navy.  He was an electrician and electrical contractor before retiring in 2005.
