STEVE TOMASEK

Steve was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 1989.

Steve was referred to as "Mr. South Omaha". He worked his way up from an office job to general manager of Falstaff Brewery until it closed in 1984. He was the South Omaha representative on the City Council from 1981–1993. He served as acting Mayor of Omaha for just under two weeks when Mayor Mike Doyle was recalled.  Steve represented his school well by raising funds for the Centennial Scholarship Fund and was on the Alumni Association Board of Directors Advisory Committee. He attended all alumni functions as long as his health would allow.

Steve passed away in 2001.
