BOB SWANBERG

Bob was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2013.

Bob Swanberg earned five letters, four in wrestling and one in football.  In wrestling, Bob won the North High Invitational and was the All-City and State Champion in 1960.  He also won the Golden Gloves City and Midwest Championship in 1961. 

​Bob served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 through 1966.  In 1966, he entered law enforcement, joining the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in 1968. He enrolled in California State University at Long Beach, graduating in 1976.  Bob retired as an Assistant Chief of the CHP after 32 years of service.
