Bryan was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2009.
Bryan Skradis lettered three years in football as a linebacker, receiving Honorable Mention All-Metro in 1975 and was All-Metro in 1976. He was named Class A All-State, All-Nebraska, All-State (Elite Eleven), Parade High School Football All-American, Class A Tackles Leader and was on the Metro Conference Championship Team in 1976. He also lettered in baseball. During his full-ride scholarship to the University of Iowa, he lettered all four years, starting at linebacker and defensive end for three years. He led Iowa in tackles-for-loss in 1979 and was Team Captain in 1980. He was on the Big-Ten Co-Championship Team in 1981 with victories over Nebraska, UCLA and Michigan and played in the 1982 Rose Bowl. He went on to play pro football with the LA Express, and served as Assistant Football Coach for the University of Iowa. He has been a Youth Football Coach/Organizer in Acworth, GA since 1991 and has been Director of Sales for Principal Financial Group since 1986. |
