Carl was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2017.

High School Honors

• 3 letters: baseball
• All-City, All-State and Team Captain        
• On the Metz team in American Legion League. 
• Made the All-Star team and played in the Babe Ruth League World Series in Texas

 
Post High School

• Signed with the KC Athletics where he played for 2 years
• Owned Dandy’s Drive–in for 22 years
• Retired from US West
