JACK PHILBY

Jack was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2011.

Jack earned six letters in wrestling and football. He also played American Legion Baseball.  His wrestling honors included Nebraska State champion, Nebraska State champion runner-up (2 years), North High Invitational champion, All-State, All-City, and KMTV Regional champion.  At UNO, he compiled a 12-0 record.  

He was active in the IBEW union during his tenure at the Omaha Weco/AT&T plant, rising to the position of Treasurer.  Jack has served as State Boxing Commission inspector and is very active in youth boxing. He also served as a United Way loaned executive, Ak-Sar-Ben membership drive participant, Westgate Girl’s Little League coach, and youth wresting program coach.
