Robert was inducted into SHSAA Hall of Fame in 2012.
Robert joined Mutual of Omaha in 1973 and retired in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Group Project Development and Compliance. He then joined the staff of Christ Community Church and serves as their Director of Ministry Support which includes all operational and administrative services. He co-directs their successful fund-raising campaign that supports leadership development in Mali, China, and North Omaha. He won golf championships and awards while at SHS and at Hastings College. He has continued his love and dedication to the sport throughout his life, winning flights in the OW-H Publinks a record-tying eight times. He was a competitive marathon runner, completing nine including Omaha, Lincoln, and New York City. He served as a board member of the Abide Network in North Omaha and while at Mutual of Omaha, he served on many advisory boards in the industry. He was also recognized by the Office of Personnel for eight years of dedicated service to the CIA. Bob was SHS class president and has chaired all class reunions since 1992. He received his degrees from Hastings College and Princeton Seminary and was in the Executive MBA Program at UNO. Bob values the friendships and opportunities SHS afforded him and feels they prepared him for leadership roles in his careers. He is most proud of the coaching and mentoring he has the opportunity to do for the people around him in his careers and looks forward to continuing to do this as long as he can. |
