Tom was inducted into the Packer Sports Greats in 2012.
Tom Moore was a starting offensive lineman on both the 1957 State Championship football team and the 1958 Co-State Championship team. He was selected for the All-City and All-State teams in 1958. He played basketball three years and was on the track team for four years. He was selected for the prestigious inaugural Shrine Football Game in Lincoln in 1959. He received a football scholarship to UNL in 1959 and 1960. Tom received his undergraduate degree from UNO in 1966 and received a Masters degree, both in Secondary Education, from UNO in 1971. He taught history and PE while coaching football, basketball and track at St. Joseph’s (later Pope Paul V1) Catholic High School for 14 years. |
