Fern was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 1995.

Fern Watanabe along with her family, (owners of The Oriental Trading Company, Nobbies, Piccolo Florist and Hidden Treasures) have made a sizable donation to the SHSAA.  Mrs. Watanabe requested the monies be divided amongst the H.P. Smith Sports Complex, teacher grants and future scholarships at SHS.  We are thankful for this generous donation.  Mrs. Watanabe is a strong supporter of SHS and the SHSAA.
