Tom was inducted into the Packer Sports Greats in 2016.

High School Honors

• 9 letters: football, basketball and track
• Part of the 1976 team that won 880 relay at State
• Part of 1977 and 1978  metro football champion teams; led the state in passing in 1977
• In both 1977 and 1978 he was named to an All-Metro team and an All-State 2nd team
• Received honorable mention in Joe Namath’s national prep sports magazine

 
Post High School

• Played football at University of Missouri from 1978 – 1979
• Been with MUD for 28 years; served as IBEW #1521 vice president & president
• Served as of the United Way Chairperson; been on Directors of Family Focus board and the La Vista Planning Board
