PAUL KRACHER

Paul was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 2002 and honored with the Contributor Award during the 2017 Packer Sports Greats.

Paul Kracher worked as maintenance supervisor at the Omaha World-Herald for 40 years. 

During the SHS centennial celebrations in 1989, Paul had the idea that the school needed to develop an alumni association.  He talked to some friends and soon became a founding member of the SHS Alumni Association and a Board Member.  Paul has chaired committees which have raised more than $30,000 for scholarships.  His support of the work of the SHS Alumni Association has provided scholarship assistance to hundreds of students so far, and has provided monetary assistance for special educational projects for classroom teachers. 

Paul served two terms as President and is currently on the Executive Board.  Paul’s love of South is non-stop. He has put in countless hours updating and maintaining the Packer Greats display at the school. He is always attending sporting events, taking photos and ensuring that the photos make it to the Athletic Director, coaches and student athletes. He has been involved with the Packer Greats ceremony since its inception and continues to provide his services to this day.
