Jack was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2018.
Jack graduated from South High in 1958. During his high school years, Jack received 8 letters in football and track. He was named to the All-City Football Team and was a member of the 1957 and 1958 State Championship football teams. In 1959 after high school, Jack participated in the first ever Nebraska Shrine Bowl Game. He attended Omaha University (now University of Nebraska at Omaha) and was named co-captain in 1959 of the freshman football team. In 1962 and 1963, he was named to the All-Conference Football Defensive Team. After college, Jack stayed physically active by competing in tennis. From 1975-1990, he was the City and State Champions in Class B doubles-tennis. Jack worked for Dun and Bradstreet as a salesman from 1965 to 1989. He then went to work for Ameriprise Financial as a salesman from 1990 until he retired in 2012. |
