JIM KENNEDY

Jim was inducted into the Packer Sports Greats in 2007.

Jim Kennedy earned three letters each in football and baseball at SHS.  He was selected All-City and All-State Halfback, while scoring 20 touchdowns, and was Council Bluffs Nonpareil Player of the Year in 1956.  In baseball Jim was a catcher on the Metz Legion Team (and he won All-Tournament Catcher honors) when Metz won the City Championship in 1955. 

​After graduation he played football at Wyoming (for Coach Bob Devaney), Iowa State, and Omaha University.  He also coached little league baseball and Pop Warner football.
