DON JAKSICH

Class of 1968
​Inducted in 2018

Don was inducted posthumously into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2018.

Don attended South from 1965-1968 and participated in baseball and football and swimming.  He lettered in baseball his freshman, sophomore and junior years.  He lettered in football his junior and senior years.    He lettered in swimming his freshman year.  He was a member of the Hi-Y Club, lettering his freshman and sophomore years.  He was also a member of the O Club, lettering all four years, and was named the President of the Club his senior year.    Don was also Homecoming King in 1968. 
 
After high school, Don went to electrical school and became a journeyman electrician.  He was a member of the IBEW Local 22 Union. 
 
Don coached South Omaha T-ball and little-league softball.
