WALTER GULLIE, JR

Walter was inducted into the Packer Sports Greats in 2010.

Walter Gullie, Jr. earned seven letters while competing in football, basketball and track.  He was selected to the Intercity and All-State teams in football and was named honorable mention All-American by the High School Coaches Association Press.  He was selected All-State in basketball, and was a member of “O” Club at SHS. 

​After graduation he joined the Job Corps where he continued to play football and basketball, receiving MVP honors during an Oklahoma basketball tournament.  He later became a high school basketball official and coached many young athletes.  He married his SHS sweetheart, Gale Orduna-1966.
