Diane was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 2011.

Diane (Galloway) Battiato is the Douglas County Register of Deeds, and has been a real estate broker and owner of Battiato Real Estate since 1986.  She previously served on the Papillion City Council for five years, including two years as President, until moving back to Douglas County in 2002.

She received the prestigious Certified Public Official Award in 2009, and is one of only 19 Certified Public Officials in the country.  She is a member or officer of numerous national and Nebraska land records associations, Property Records Industry Association, national and local realtor associations, charitable organizations, Women's Fund of Greater Omaha, League of Women Voters, South Omaha Merchants Association, and several human rights organizations.
