Coach Faiman was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2002.

Coach Faiman played football, basketball, and baseball. He lettered in football 3 years and baseball four years. He was honored in 1958 for All-City, All-State and All-American Team in football and All-City for baseball in 1959. He played in the 1959 Shrine Bowl and later was Shrine coach. He played football at Nebraska from 1959 to 1963. He coached at 8 colleges and high schools across the country.

John passed away in 2012.
