COLLIN FIELD

The renovation of Omaha South High School’s Collin Field has been a long awaited development. Long nicknamed “the Hole,” Collin Field was in disrepair for nearly 40 years.

The new Collin Field is a first-rate soccer and football field, complete with a synthetic turf surface and measuring 75 yards wide and 120 yards long. The field is surrounded by a new four-lane track with a six-lane straightaway and feature new press boxes, lighting, concession booths, and a new scoreboard, as well as space for an outdoor stage.

New home and visitor stands with a capacity for 3,200 people flank the field and the west end of the stadium features a natural grass area that can be used for overflow seating for sporting events or amphitheater-type seating for arts and cultural events.
