JOE BERENIS

​Inducted in 2019

​Joe was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2019.

Joe achieved seven letters while at South, four in baseball and three in football.  He was the team captain in baseball and football, and was nominated for the All City teams in both sports.
 
Joe earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in engineering, and his Masters in Engineering from UNO.  He has worked as a professional engineer in Nebraska and Florida. He has been involved in the construction of over $4 billion dollars of new expressways in central Florida.
