Delores 'Lola' was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 2006.
Ms. Terway attended Creighton University and Bellevue University. She worked three summers as an intern for Realbanc (which was subsidiary of Omaha National Bank) now known as US Bank while she attended college. She began her career with FirsTier Bank (now US Bank) in 1986. Lola Terway is the Bank Marketing Project Manager for US Bank. She has contributed to the community through her service on the United Way Allocations Committee and US Bank UW Champaign Chair; Metropolitan Omaha Builders Association Women's Council member, Board Member, President, Director, and Scholarship Chair; University of Nebraska at Omaha Women's Walk Steering Committee member, and Team Co-Captain; Omaha Chamber of Commerce member of the Corporate Contributions Coordinating Council; South High School Adopt-A-School Coordinator; Nebraska Schools Activities Association Believers and Achievers Scholarship Committee, and US Bank Community Advisory Council. She has also volunteered or been involved with the Food Bank, Juvenile Diabetes, American Lung Association, Siena/Francis House, Child Savings Institute, Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign, Brush Up Nebraska (Paint-A-Thon), Special Olympics, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, YWCA, YMCA, Habitat for Humanity and others. She has been honored by receiving The US Bank Commercial Banking Leadership Circle Award. Ms. Terway believes she received a quality education at SHS, and formed friendships that are still very important to her. While attending SHS she earned eight athletic letters: three for Volleyball; two for Basketball; and three for Tennis. She played Volleyball and Softball for Bellevue University, receiving Honorable Mention for Volleyball, first team NAIA for Softball and Outstanding Softball Player for Bellevue University. |
