​Tom was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 2016.

Rev. Tom Bauwens is an award-winning Roman Catholic priest who is currently the pastor of St. Wenceslaus Church in Omaha. He has devoted his life to church service and running Catholic grade and high schools.

He completed his BA Psychology degree at the University of St. Thomas in 1983 and his MA Divinity degree from the University of St. Mary of the Lake in 1987. Father Tom has served on community and religious institutional boards including the Mayor’s Task Force and the Archdiocesan Review Board. He was the founder of the Kateri Drum Warriors in Winnebago, Nebraska.

​He stated that SHS gave him an incredible foundation to build academic and business success. He cited phenomenal teachers (Dr. Kvasnicka, Mr. Beran and Mrs. Bean) as great examples for him.
