Jenny was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2025.

High School:

• Basketball (4 letters):
  • 4-year varsity starter in basketball, received All-State Basketball Team Honorable Mention each year
  • Ended her senior year with a 70% free-throw percentage and concluded her SHS basketball career with a total of 812 points
  • Lead her team to an upset victory over Papillion South her senior year with her career high of 24 points and 12/12 from the free-throw line
• Soccer (2 letters):
  • 2-year varsity starter in soccer; named Powerade Player of the Month in May 2007
  • Served as team captain for both basketball and soccer
  • NSAA Academic All-State Award honors and named a Metro Conference Scholar Athlete in 2007 (recognizing varsity athletes in the top 25% of their class)
• Also earned 3 letters in softball
• In 2024, she was inducted into the Packer Greats as part of the 2006 SHS Girls Basketball Team; the first girls’ team in history to be inducted

 
After High School:

• Attended Southeast Community College on a full-ride basketball scholarship
• Even with her first season cut short by an injury, she still finished the season with 164 points and a 75% free-throw percentage
• Also earned NJCAA Academic All-Conference and OW-H All-Nebraska Community College Team Honorable Mention honors
• In her second year, she was named to the Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska Community College Second Team and the Region IX All-Tournament Team and again received NJCAA Academic All-Conference recognition
• Named Offensive Player of the Year in 2009, ending the season with 252 points and a 74% free-throw percentage
• Played basketball and softball at the College of Saint Mary on athletic scholarships.
• Earned her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies
• In 2018, she earned a master's degree in political science from the University of Nebraska Omaha
• She taught Social Studies at SHS from 2013 to 2021 and coached basketball and soccer (for 1 year) and was the GSA Club sponsor
• From 2019 to 2021, she served as an Association Representative for the Omaha Education Association, completing two consecutive terms as a captain
• In 2024, she returned to Omaha South as a Freshman Seminar teacher and resumed her sponsorship of the GSA Club
• League of Women Voters of Greater Omaha board member from 2021 to 2023
• CAC member in the inaugural cohort of the Greenlining Fund’s Community Advisory Committee from 2022 to 2023
