Alex was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.

High School:

• Soccer (3 letters):
  • All-time leading scorer in SHS history (scored 53 goals in 3 years)
  • On the first team to ever win a state tournament game in soccer at South (lost a heartbreaker in the finals to Lincoln East)
  • Honors include:
    • Lincoln Journal Star Class A 1st Team (2011 & 2010); Super State 1st Team (2011) & 2nd Team (2010)
    • Omaha World Herald All State 1st Team (2011) 2nd Team (2010) & Honorable Mention (2009); Class A 1st Team (2011) & 2nd Team (2010); and All Metro 1st Team (2011 & 2010)

 
After High School:

• Attended Benedictine College and then enlisted in the US Air Force
• Plays soccer for the USAF, won gold in the Dept of Defense Soccer Championships
  • Selected as one of the best 11 of the tournament
• Currently a Flying Crew Chief on the MC-130J at Cannon AFB, NM
• He and his wife Lindsey have a blended family of four children
