Bryan was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.

High School:

• Football (3 letters):
  • three year starting linebacker
  • All-State linebacker in 1983
• Also lettered three years in track

 
After High School:

• Went to UNO to play football on scholarship (starting linebacker as a freshman)
• Then walked on as a sophomore at UNL
• Started a lawn care business in 1986 that continues to thrive today. 
• He and his wife, Lori have three sons and seven grandchildren
