Alex Gomez was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2026.

High School

• Named All State and All Metro Teams in 2016
• Won State in 2012 & 2016
• Won Smokey Mountain Cup in 2016

After High School

• Played soccer at Iowa Western Community College
• Finished playing at Doane University
• Earned Bachelors in Physical Education (2022) and Masters in Curriculum & Instruction (20204) at Doane University
• Teaches physical education at Field Club Elementary School.
• Helps coach and run our soccer program which allows students to play soccer for free. Students in our programs not only play soccer but also visit a college every year. They meet with the coaches and players from that college.
• Assistant soccer coach at Buena Vista High School.
