Craig was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.

​High School:

• Cross-Country (2 letters):
  • Junior year – district medalist
  • Senior year – all conference, district medalist, and all state
• Track (3 letters):
  • Sophomore year – district medalist
  • Junior year – district medalist and qualified for state
  • Senior year – all conference, district medalist, and all state

Craig was one of two athletes to qualify for the State meet since 1973.  Craig finished 4th. He won six of the seven dual meets and finished in the top ten of all other meets.
 
After High School:

• Attended Midland Lutheran College
• Ran track and cross-country while at Midland

    • All District – sophomore, junior and senior years
    • Qualified for Nationals senior year
  • Indoor Track
    • All conference and district freshman through senior years
    • Qualified for nationals junior and senior years
    • All American in the 1000 yd senior year
  • Outdoor track
    • All Conference & All District freshman through senior years

    • Indoor: 1000 yd, 4x800 relay, and distance medley relay
      
    • Outdoor: 4x800 relay and distance medley relay
      
    • Three-time NAIA Academic All American in track
• Taught and coached at Elkhorn High School before moving into the Information Technology field
• Moved to coach track and cross-country at Wahoo High School
• Retired from Duncan Aviation in February 2024.
• Craig and his wife Karla have three children and two grandchildren
