Abel was inducted into the SHSAA Packer Sports Greats in 2025.

High School:

• Soccer:
  • Played varsity soccer all 4 years at South; as midfielder and striker
  • 2013 OWH/Lincoln Star: 1st Team All-State; 1st Team Class A; 1st Team All-Metro
  • 2012 OWH: 2nd Team Class A; 2nd Team All-Metro
  • Part of the UNDEFEATED 2013 State/National Champion Boys Soccer Team
  • 23rd in the nation & 4th in NE Class A for points scored (53); 4th in Nebraska in assists (14)

 
After High School:

• Worked and coached at the KROC for 7 years (2013 - 2020)
• Assisted the SHS boys soccer staff and Freshman/Reserves coach
• Currently is a SHS assistant soccer coach
